You will find answers for questions that our clients ask for certified English translation of diplomas and transcripts
How long does it take to translate a diploma or transcript?

- Make sure to enter your "exact" address when you make your payment. If you want your translation delivered t another address, let us know.
- Make sure that the copy of your document is readable. Scanning produces better copies and in color. If you don’t have a scanner, you may send gthe copies by fax by indicating your email address so that we can send you email messages.
Is there any standard for diploma and academic translation?
Professional translation companies are required to translate your educational documents (diplomas, scholastic transcripts, degrees and educational certificates) "word-for-word" without adding, deleting, modifying, interpreting or evaluating them. You will see this requirement or standard on the websites of major educational services such as World Education Service (WES) that sets the standards for foreign academic credentials, National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) and similar other evaluation agencies.
In short, you need to take the first step: getting "certified translation" of your diplomas, transcripts and other educational documents. Second step is: evaluation of your certified translation based on U.S. academic standards.
Some large universities, colleges and educational institutions have their own bilingual staff who can evaluate your degrees and courses and grades (listed in your scholastic transcript) and find equivalency in U.S. educational standards. Other small universities and colleges may ask you to get an evaluation report from one of the foreign credential evaluation agencies (evaluation services, in short).
Do I pay the same fee for translations from and into English language?
No. In most cases. The number of words in the target language is not the same. The number of words increases from 10 to 35 percent in the target language. For instance, Japanese into English is different from translating from English into Japanese as each Japanese character is one word in English. It is the number of translated words that reflect the translation efforts involved.Second, the number of words is different due to use of symbols and characters that mean more than one letter in languages such as Arabic, Korean, and Japanese to name few.
Third, typing in languages with accent marks and symbols (character-based languages) slows down the translation process.
Finally, it is the time spent for the translation that counts in addition to the additional efforts made. That’s why a translation from English into another language generally costs more.
